Dream Big Career Panel with Go for it Girls!

Yesterday I had the incredible opportunity to take part of the Girls Go For It Dream Big Career Panel! I was joined by Kelly from Habitat for Humanity and Kristin who runs admissions for the master's of business at U of I. We shared about our life, work, goals, hobbies, and challenges we have faced. Talking to these lovely young ladies was an incredible opportunity. We had a candid conversation about how being a women means they will face extra challenges and discrimination in life, but how that should be met with confidence, persistence and determination.They asked such great questions about my life and work and also shared their dreams and goals. After the panel I helped two ladies develop their own entrepreneurial business. I really enjoyed spending my afternoon giving back to my community and hopefully inspiring some young scientist and conservationists!
